ADILABAD: Four youths climbed atop a cellphone tower in Sunkidi village of Talmagudu madal on Friday, threatening to commit suicide for a separate Telangana state.Prem, Sekhar, Ramesh and Mahender climbed onto the tower and stayed on top for almost two hours, despite requests from the locals to get down.Later, they spoke to TRS leader Harish Rao over the phone who assured them that the decision on Telangana would be out within two days.After a high drama for two hours, they got down the tower after the TRS leader convinced them and demanded the T MLAs and ministers to quit their posts.Meanwhile, pro-Telangana activists laid siege to Adilabad M.P Ramesh Rathod’s house in Uttnoor after which the MP gave his resignation letter resignation letter to employees ( not in the official format).But, the MP later said that he would neither quit Telugu Desam Party nor get away from TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu.On the other hand, protests across the district were intensified as people from Marwadi Samaj, Gujarati Samaj, Rajasthani Samaj joined employees in the Samme.About 592 buses in six depots were not operated. Doctors continued their strike while employees refused to take salaries and continued their agitation.
