Ganguly looks to Ranji for ODI spot
The ex-skipper of Team India would be seen in action in the East zone leg of the tournament in Dhanbad from February 11 to 19.

New Delhi: In his bid to stake claim for a place in the One-Day team, former Indian captain Saurav Ganguly would play for Bengal in the upcoming Ranji Trophy limited overs tournament.

He was picked up for the recent Test series agaisnt Pakistan but dropped from the ODI squad.

Ganguly was also not in the One-Day squad for the home series against Sri Lanka and South Africa.

His exclusion fron the team had led to a nationwide protest with even Members of Parliament trying to raise the issue in the House.

India had won the seven-match series against Sri Lanka 6-1 and drew the five-match series against Proteas 2-2 after one match was rained out.

The ex-skipper of Team India would be seen in action in the East zone leg of the tournament in Dhanbad from February 11 to 19.

Bengal would face Tripura in the first match and will take on Jharkhand, Orissa and Assam in the following matches.
