Gas cylinder leaks at Puthencruz

In yet another incident of gross negligence on the part of LPG distributors, a cylinder started leaking while unloading here on Thursday. According to the Fire and Rescue Services personnel the incident occured when the workers carelessly rolled down the cylinders one after another from the truck. “But the timely intervention of the local people prevented any mishap. The gas cylinder was immersed in the nearby pond to avoid chances of explosion. Water was sprayed to dilute the liquefied petroleum gas that spread around.
