Gazetted officers to support united AP agitation

The Krishna District Gazetted Officers Association has decided to participate in Samaikyandhra movement to support the ongoing agitation.

The district officers' association met in Vijaywada on Friday under the chairmanship of L Vijayachander, district revenue officer, to chalk out the action plan in support of the agitation.

"About 80 district-level officers and another 300 gazetted officers would participate in the agitation from Saturday," Vijayachander said. "As per the programme, all officers in the district will go on mass casual leave from September 7 to 12. Dharna agitations would be held from September 13 to 20 and officers would observe 'non-cooperation' to the administration from September 21 to 30," he added.

Officers will go on second phase of en masse leave from October 1 to 6 for Samaikyandhra, he said adding that a meeting of district officers would be held on October 7 at Machilipatnam to decide the future course of action.
