New Delhi: Okay, so what is the ultimate present you can give your pet doggie for being that faithful li’l pet?
Well, maybe a warm fuzzy coat or a big box of Pedigree dog food. But a gold tooth? Now that really sounds far-fetched.
But a Bosnian dentist has done exactly that. He may be extracting teeth for a living, but this dentist gave his pet dog a gold tooth as a reward for his loyalty.
"The Russian terrier is the smartest of all dogs and Atos deserved a special tooth because he is so loyal and special to me," Milan Vujnovic was quoted by annanova.com as saying.
Vujnovic said his eight-month-old Russian terrier Atos knows the gold tooth is 'special' and appreciates it as well.
"He likes the fact that he has a gold tooth. He often shows it off because he knows it is something different and special," he said.
"It took me four hours to put the gold cover on his tooth but all the time he just sat there and didn't move an inch. He was as good as gold."
And it's no ordinary terrier either. Trained with Soviet KGB, the dog is capable of fighting it out if thieves tried to steal him or his gold tooth.
"Atos is descended from the dogs that were used by the Soviet KGB. He's not a dog that would ever allow himself to get stolen," Vujnovic said.
