Rajkot: Apparently upset over her love marriage, a man allegedly stabbed his sister several times at Kalavad Road area of the city, a police official said in Rajkot on Friday.
Malaviyanagar police sub-inspector MM Sondrat said that the victim who has been identified as Tejal Ruturaj Chauhan (21), was rushed to the civil hospital in a critical condition.
A police investigation revealed that she was allegedly stabbed by her brother Rajesh Kangad near Crystal Mall on the Kalavad Road area of the city, this afternoon, the police official said.
"Tejal who was in love with Ruturaj Chauhan, married him an year ago. However, her brother Rajesh was unhappy with Tejal's decision. Today, he attacked Tejal with a knife and wounded her," the police official said.
"Tejal is battling for her life at the hospital. We have begun our hunt to nab Rajesh, who is still absconding," the police official said.
