Dera Saccha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh's controversial movie 'Messenger of God' release has been stalled following Censor Board chief Leela Samson's resignation.
Samson, while resigning, cited "corruption, coercion and interference" by the Information and Broadcast Ministry as the reason for her exit.
Speaking to PTI, Leela Samson said, "It is a mockery of Central Board of Film Certification. My resignation is final. Have informed the (I&B) Secretary". She further added the reason behind quitting and said, "interference, coercion and corruption of panel members and officers of the organization who are appointed by the ministry".
Messenger of God that stars controversial religious body head Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, has been opposed by groups in Punjab as blasphemous. (Singh has claimed to be Guru Gobind Singh in the past).
