Homicides probe wing from next month: CoP

CHENNAI: A homicide investigation wing set up exclusively for investigating unsolved murders will be operational from January 2012, said Greater Chennai Police Commissioner JK Tripathy on Saturday. He said the investigation wing will be attached to the Central Crime Branch and will be headed by a deputy commissioner of police. He also said that six special teams have already been formed to investigate the unsolved six murders-for-gain cases.
