Greater Noida: Formula 1 driver Romain Grosjean has congratulated Sebastian Vettel for his fourth drivers' championship title and said he hoped to be in the Red Bull driver's position someday.
The 26-year-old Vettel won the Indian Grand Prix at the Buddh International Circuit (BIC) here Sunday to clinch his fourth consecutive drivers' title, placing him in elite company.
He has now become one of four drivers to win four championships or more alongside legends like Michael Schumacher (seven titles), Juan Manuel Fangio (five) and Alain Prost (four).
"Sebastian is doing very well. He is a great driver and has a great car. He is doing a fantastic job... so well done to him. One day, I hope, I can be in his position," Lotus driver Grosjean told IANS in the paddock here Sunday.
The French driver also had a fantastic race, starting 17th and finishing third on the podium.
"I had a very good race, very happy and proud of what I did," added Grosjean.
