HS teachers support PU lecturers stir

DAVANGERE: The Karnataka State High School Assistant Masters’ Association will join the ongoing agitation of PU lecturers demanding rectification of pay anomaly for PUC and HS teachers, said former MLC K C Puttasiddashetty here on Sunday.Shetty said on December 14, the members will garland Mahatma Gandhi statue in Bangalore and take part in the dharna in front of the CMs house.In April 2011, former CM B S Yeddyurappa had made a statement that an officers’ committee will be formed under the chairmanship of secretary for Education Department to set right pay anomalies of both HS assistant masters and PUC lecturers within a month.
