The Hindu mythological tale of Prahlada emerging unscathed from the flames as Holika burnt to death was on Monday replayed at Jatwari village in Mathura where a priest walked through a bonfire to mark the festival of Holi.
According to sources, Santosh Panda of Jatwari village performed the feat of walking through the bonfire with a large number of people having gathered to watch him. A similar feat is performed at another village in the area -- Falen.
Sources said the district administration had made the necessary arrangements for providing safety and handling the crowd during the event.
