HYDERABAD: Telugu Desam president N Chandrababu Naidu has declared that he is neutral on the demands for and against bifurcation of the state.“I have already made my stance clear.I have adopted a neutral stance on the agitations,” he told reporters here on Tuesday. He said he had given freedom to leaders of all the regions to work as per the aspirations of the people of their respective regions.“Party leaders become irrelevant if they do not take up the cause of the people they represent. That is why I have wanted leaders of both the regions to respect the feelings of both the regions,” Naidu explained.Reiterating that separate Telangana and Samaikyandhra demands were sensitive issues, Naidu held the Congress government responsible for the mess.“Congress is in power at the Centre and in the state. It is its responsibility to clear the uncertainty. The Congress is responsible for the instability in the state and can not escape from its responsibility. It should take a decision immediately,” Naidu demanded.Naidu accused the TRS and Congress of colluding and blaming the TDP.“As its president I have to protect my party in both the regions,” he said and claimed TDP was a historic necessity for the Telugus.Asked about TTDFconvener E Dayakar Rao’s statement on Monday that Naidu lacked clarity on T state, Naidu said Dayakar Rao himself had set the record straight.
