Indian dossier exposes shoddy 26/11 probe by Pakistan, no investigation into role of Hafiz Saeed and ISI
The Indian dossier further claims that crucial evidence from a FBI probe was also not incorporated in the 26/11 chargesheet in Pakistan.

A dossier prepared by India blows the cover on the shoddy probe and prosecution of the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks in Pakistan. According to the dossier that was supposed to be presented by National Security Advisor Ajit Doval to his Pakistani counterpart Sartaj Aziz, there has been no investigation into the alleged roles of Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorist Hafiz Saeed.

The Indian dossier further claims that crucial evidence from a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) probe was also not incorporated in the 26/11 chargesheet in Pakistan.

Apart from these, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) of Pakistan conducted a probe which covered the period between 2007 and 2008 while the planning of the conspiracy allegedly dates back to 2005.

Referring to Hafiz Saeed, the dossier claims that David Headley's wife could have given evidence against the LeT terrorist but the charges were not probed by the agency.

The dossier prepared by India also alleged that no investigation was done into the reccee of 26/11 targets by suspected former Pakistani Army officers and the role of Pakistani spy agency ISI.

It further alleges the FIA probe covered only Karachi, and not Muzaffarabad, Muridke and Lahore where training and preparations for the attack took place.

The chargesheet into the 26/11 case also has no mention of Karachi control room and neither have the voice samples been compared.

Pakistani names mentioned in Indian probe have also not been investigated by Pakistan agency, even as there has been no probe into the role of handler Zabiuddin Ansari, who was in Karachi control room when the attack took place.

There has also been no detailed probe on 10 terrorists who took part in Mumbai attack and its link to Al-Qaeda terrorist Ilyas Kashmiri.

Government sources said that the details of the dossier were enough to counter Pakistan NSA Sartaj Aziz's claim of inadequate evidence.

The dossier could not be handed over to Pakistan as the country called off the talks, scheduled for August 23-24 as India remained adamant on confining the NSA-level talks on terror, as per the understanding in Ufa between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his counterpart Nawaz Sharif.
