RAMANATHAPURAM: Officials and Sri Lankan refugees planted saplings on the Mandapam Camp premises to mark International Refugees Day on Monday.Around 50 saplings of neem and other species were planted on the premises. It is said that the government has decided to plant around 2,000 trees at the Mandapam camp to provide green cover.Thangam Marikayar, president of the Mandapam Union, and others participated in the function that was held here.Mathivathanan, organiser of the Organisation for Eelam Refugees Rehabilitation, urged the refugees to participate in the campaign.
