Iron ore transporter questioned

HYDERABAD: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday questioned Karampudi Mahesh, who was allegedly involved in illegal transport of iron ore from Obulapuram Mining Company owned by Gali Janardhan Reddy and his brother-in-law BV Srinivas Reddy.Mahesh, who hails from Bellary, was summoned by the CBI to its office at Koti here on Monday morning and his questioning went on till evening. Sources said Mahesh, besides transporting iron ore, used to collect huge amounts from other mining companies in Bellary on behalf of Gali brothers. "He has not disclosed any valuable information so far, but his questioning will go on for the next few days," sources said.On the first day, a team of CBI officials put some general questions to Mahesh, pertaining to his association with the Gali brothers and the OMC.
