Crans Montana: Jeev Milkha Singh closed with a final round of one-under 70 to finish tied 35th at the Omega European Masters on Sunday.

Jeev's 70 saw him conclude the week at five-under in tied 35th, ten places up from the third round, in two million Euros showpiece event co-sanctioned by the Asian Tour and European Tour.

The Asian Tour honorary member, Jeev first dropped two bogeys on the 14th and 16th as he finished his first nine in two-over. Then three birdies on the second nine salvaged the day as he found birdies on the first, third and ninth.

Shiv Kapur started from the tenth and began very well with birdies on the 11th, 14th and 15th. Then dropped shots on the 16th and 18th saw him turn in one-under.

On the second stretch, he birdied the first, bogeyed the second, and had two more bogeys on the fourth and fifth, but then closed with back-to-back birdies on the sixth and seventh for a 71 to end in one-under 283 and tied 58th, slightly up from 61st overnight.

Gaganjeet Bhullar had five birdies and five bogeys and finished with a 71 and a week's total of two-over 286 and in tied 65th place, as against 68th after three rounds.

"I birdied the last hole. Had a rough start on my first nine (started 10th tee). Then I hit a good shot on the 14th hole but the ball went on the down slope and nearly went out of bounds. Then I hit it over the green and returned with bogey. I came back pretty strongly," said Jeev.

Overall on the week, he added, "I didn't shoot any over-par rounds and that's a positive for me this week. I feel I could have done much better but I look forward to next week."

"I'm coming back. I'm not 100 percent but I'm fitter and much stronger. I just to need manage myself better on the course."

Denmark's Thomas Bjorn, who won the Johnnie Walker Championships at Gleneagles last week, captured back-to-back victories with a sparkling closing 62 in the championship.

He was five-under for last five holes and finished at 20-under 264 and four clear of Martin Kaymer, second in 16-under.

Bjorn had a birdie on first and bogey on fourth. Then he exploded with four birdies in row from fifth to eighth.

Another birdie on tenth brought him to five-under. He did not stop there, though a bogey on 12th halted him a bit.

He went to five-under in last five holes with birdie on 14th, eagle on 15th and birdies on 17th and 18th for a stunning 62, which left Martin Kaymer (65) way behind at 16-under.

Rory McIlroy (68), Jamie Donaldson, who led after three rounds, and Jaco Van Zyl of South Africa tied in third at 15-under. Lee Westwood, who led at one stage with McIlroy for a brief bit, shot 70 and finished in tied sixth with two others at 14-under.

Earlier SSP Chowrasia, Anirban Lahiri and Jyoti Randhawa missed the cut.

Asia's best for the week was Bangladeshi Siddikur who closed with a final-round four-under-par 67 despite bogeying the last hole.

The win was Bjorn's 13th European Tour International Schedule and his 19th professional win worldwide. It also took him just outside top-25 from 59th in the official world golf rankings.

It is the first time that he has won consecutive European Tour tournaments, following the Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles, seven days ago. The last man to do so was Charl Schwartzel (2010 Africa Open and 2010 Joburg Open).

It was his third European Tour title of the 2011 season, following the Commercialbank Qatar Masters and Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles.
