The Chief Minister of Kashmir has said that the state is passing through a revolutionary phase of development.

New Delhi: Appreciating the efforts of government functionaries for timely and speedy execution of all development projects, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad on Wednesday said the state is passing through a revolutionary phase of development.

Launching the Rs 39.90 crore widening and strengthening of Sidhra-Surinsar-Mansar road project funded by the Asian Development Bank, Azad said he has made it a point to work for people of the state, irrespective of their political lineage or constituencies.

He said that government is for all people and it should not be allowed to be divided on religion, caste and regional lines.

Besides massive road connectivity infrastructure, the entire Jammu and Kashmir state is being brought under the umbrella of health care that will be provided to people on their doorsteps.

A network of big and small hospitals and medical units is being constructed in all nooks and corners of the state, the Chief Minister said.

With the widening and upgradation of the Sidhra- Surinsar-Mansar road, flow of tourists to Surinsar and Mansar will increase giving fillip to economic activities in the area, he said.

The Chief Minister emphasized the completion of the upgradation work of the 40.5 km road project within a year by executing the work in triple shifts.

He said there was a most J&K-friendly government at the Centre and liberal funding is available to the state.
