BANGALORE: The Special Lokayukta Court on Thursday adjourned the hearing of bail application of former minister Katta Subramanya Naidu and the others accused in the KIADB land scam to Friday.Judge N K Sudheendra Rao of the Additional City Civil Court heard argument on Thursday. Ravi B Naik appearing on behalf of Katta Subramanya Naidu and others argued that their primary objective was to develop a Special Economic Zone and the land was allotted to Itasca Software Company only after it was approved by a high level committee of the government.He submitted that consent of the farmers was taken for acquisition of the land and KIADB was merely an agent.In fact, it was even agreed to pay the market prices and the allegation that Indu Developers were facilitators for the project, he submitted.Lokayukta counsel Pramod Chandra maintained that the charge-sheet proved the conspiracy of all the accused in the acquisition of 325 acres of land in Bandikodigehalli.
