KSEB assurance on Sabarimala power supply

KOCHI: The Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) on Saturday submitted before the Kerala High Court that an officer not below the rank of Assistant Executive engineer will be posted at Sabarimala to ensure uninterrupted power supply during the pilgrim season.A Division Bench comprising Justice Thottathil B Radhakrishnan and Justice C T Ravikumar recorded the submission and adjourned the case to November 24. The KSEB submitted that it had a review meeting for the arrangements of the Sabarimala pilgrimage and had decided that the Deputy chief Engineer Electrical Circle Pathanamthitta will be the chief coordinator of all the three wings of the board. The KSEB further submitted that major breakdown of supply to Sabarimala appears to be owing to overload.  Meanwhile, the Travancore Devaswom Board chief engineer submitted that the repair works of Nilakkal ring road was almost complete.
