KOCHI: The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) buses will start entering the Vyttila Mobility Hub at night from January first week onwards. The KSRTC Station Master’s office in the hub is also expected to become operational from Friday. An official intimation in this regard will be out soon. As many as 33 buses which ply towards Thrissur and Alappuzha via Ernakulam will be diverted through the mobility hub. The KSRTC has already prepared the list of buses which will ply through the hub at night. The buses which are excluded from the list will ply through the Ernakulam-Thoppumpady-Aroor route. The KSRTC officials said the travel woes of people would be reduced to a great extent after the buses start plying through the hub. So far, the KSRTC buses had not been entering the mobility hub at night as the Station Master’s cabin was yet to be opened. The cabin will officially be inaugurated by Transport Minister V S Sivakumar at 11.30 a.m. on January 6. Though the inauguration was previously slated for December 9, the event was indefinitely postponed as the minister was not available. With this, the hub will be completely converted into a 24 x 7 entity.
