SABARIMALA: The KSRTC would launch its Bangalore service from Pampa station soon for the convenience of pilgrims from Karnataka. Talking to the Express, KSRTC Pampa station special officer Easter Yashika said that the clearance from the Karnataka Government for the launch of the service would be received soon.Yashika said that the corporation’s inter-state service to Tamil Nadu would be introduced in a couple of days. Yashika said the permission from the Tamil Nadu Government  for operating the service would be received in a day or two.Yashika said that Pampa station already had sufficient number of buses for operating the inter-state service.“Initially, the corporation would ply buses on the Pampa-Thenkasi and Pampa-Palani routes,” Yashika said.“In the next phase, the KSRTC would launch its service to Coimbatore,” he said.Nilackal Chain ServiceEaster Yashika said the KSRTC operated a total number of 1,765 chain services to Nilackal from Pampa during the first five days of the festival season till Monday. “This shows an increase of 477 chain services, more than the same period during the last season,” he said.Long-route ServicesThe corporation operated an aggregate number of 1,279 long-distance buses, showing an increase of 184 schedules than the last year’s figure, from the Pampa station during the first five days.Of this, Chengannur bus station topped among the depots in operating 374 schedules, followed by Kottayam, 206, Erumely, 139, Kottarakara, 107, Thiruvananthapuram, 105, Pathanamthitta, 101 and Ernakulam 91.
