A range of products from various Kudumbasree enterprises across the state will converge at Marine Drive for the Trade Fair being organised as part Kudumabsree’s 14 anniversary celebrations. The fair will be inaugurated by Public Works Minister Ebrahim Kunju at 5 p.m. on Thursday.
“Stalls have been put up in which about 80 types of products from 150 enterprises from Kasargod to Thiruvanathapuram will be exhibited. About 25 entrepreneurs from each district will be present,” said Kudumbasree district coordinator Tany Thomas.
Stalls of 300 sqft each will showcase food products, health and hygiene products and handicrafts. A 500-sqft stall has been set aside to display clothes. A food court of 800-sqft will also function with a live kitchen and a dozen-odd cooks.
A cultural and food festival will also be held. The first two days will showcase Malabar traditions and cuisine. This will be followed by two days of Travancore traditions and food varieties and the last two days will portray the cultural programmes and cuisine of Kochi.
The arrangements are done in such a way that visitors can have food while watching the entertainment programmes.
Besides the exhibition of Kudumbasree products, documentaries on the the evolution of Kudumbasree and the various enterprises will be shown. The Trade Fair will end on October 2.
