CHENNAI/VILLUPURAM: A Sri Lankan was nabbed by customs sleuths when he attempted to leave the airport without declaring large rolls of Saudi Riyals he had concealed on his person. According to sources, Herath Pereira (50) had arrived in the city from Colombo by a Sri Lankan Airlines flight on Sunday night. He then allegedly walked through customs after saying that he had nothing to declare. Suspecting something, customs personnel asked him to submit to a body search.They found that he had a large roll of Saudi riyals concealed on his person. When counted, it came to light that the money was close to one lakh riyals, which is worth almost `14 lakh. He was arrested immediately.
