THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State Government hopes to rollback night-time loadshedding within a few days, Electricity Minister Aryadan Mohammed told the Assembly on Tuesday. If the government’s plan to purchase power from private parties to tide over the present crisis works out, the half-hour cyclic loadshedding can be withdrawn, he said in reply to a question. The KSEB was forced to impose loadshedding because of problems at the Talcher II, Ramagundam and Neyveli power stations, he said.  On Monday, the Minister, making a special statement in the Assembly on the power crisis, said the government hoped to purchase from private traders including Tata. KSEB officials said that the power situation in the state remained unchanged on Tuesday. There still was a shortage of 300 MW, they said.
