Maoists planning to disrupt Chhattisgarh elections: IB alert
IB has sent an alert stating that CPI (Maoist) chief Ganpathy held a meeting with cadres in Abujmad on October 8.

New Delhi: With Assembly election in Chhattisgarh just days away, the Intelligence Bureau has send an alert to Ministry of Home Affairs

and the state government over a Maoist plan to disrupt the elections.

B has sent an alert stating that CPI (Maoist) chief Ganpathy held a meeting with the cadre in Abujmad on October 8. This is significant since Ganpathy was last seen in 2010.

IB report says that Ganpathy is leading a group of Maoists to disrupt elections and that there has been large scale mobilisation of the rebels in Narayanpur, Bijapur and Kanker since since October 1.

The report says that IEDs have been supplied to the groups to attack polling booths and roads during the elections.

Chhattisgarh will vote in two phases - November 11 and November 19. Counting of votes will take place on December 8.
