Measures taken to recover Thiruvabharanam route

SABARIMALA:Measures have been taken to resume the encroached land of Sabarimla Thiruvabharanam procession route so that the forthcoming procession carrying the Thiruvabharanam boxes could pass through the traditional path.District Collector P Venugopal  told ‘Express’,  instructions were given to the revenue officials at the  taluk and village-levels to  initiate urgent action to evict the encroachers on the mprocession route from Pandalam to Sabarimala, which pass through tow taluks of Kozhenchery and  Ranni under Adoor and Tiruvalla revenue divisions respectively.Venugopal, who along with the RDOs of Adoor and Tiruvalla, visited the encroached traditional procession route which pass through Kulananda, Mezhuveli, Aranmula, Thottappuzha sery,  Kozhencheri, Cherukol and Keekozhur village limits.Venugopal said that strict instructions were given to the village officers concerned to resume the encroached land immediately so that the local self-government institutions could undertake the civil works on the path.
