People's Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti on Monday clearly indicated she was going to form the government with the BJP in Jammu and Kashmir.
Mehbooba said at a party function in Kupwara that, "Mufti saheb's decision is final," a reference to her father and former chief minister Mufti Sayeed's decision to ally with the BJP
"He has taken the decision, so his decision is my decision. But the Agenda of Alliance is also his creation," she added.
"I will sit on the chair, not for myself but for the people. I will not do anything which can prove his (Mufti’s) decision wrong," she said hours ahead of a legislature party meeting to be held in Srinagar to decide on government formation in the state.
Jammu and Kashmir has been under Governor's rule after chief minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed died in office in early January.
