New Delhi: Micromax is arguably one of the best smartphone manufacturers in India and is continuously offering mobile devices that feature above average specifications and are slotted in a price bracket that cater to the Indian audience.
After unveiling the Superfone A80 Infinity last month, the brand has now launched the Superfone A84 Elite, an Android Gingerbread handset, featuring a 3.97-inch capacitive IPS WVGA display at a price of Rs 9,999.
This handset boasts some pretty nifty features and one of the main attributes of the A84 Superfone Elite is the 1630mAh battery that can handle 5 hours of talk time and 160 hours of standby.
The Superfone series of handsets is designed for those looking for long lasting batteries and this Android-based smartphone from Micromax is made to serve this very purpose. Though it does not feature a 2500mAh battery that is found on the A80, this battery should suffice for most users.
Besides the fact that it runs on Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread, this smartphone also comes equipped with a 1GHz processor and a 5 megapixel rear camera. If you need to click shots in low light environments and are afraid of the images not turning out quite as expected, then this model comes equipped with an LED flash that can assist you. The brand has also added a 0.3 megapixel front camera that can be useful for video calling over Skype.
Here is a quick look at the highlighted features of the Micromax A84 Superfone Elite:
- Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread
- 3.97-inch capacitive IPS WVGA display
- 1GHz processor
- 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, 0.3 megapixel front facing camera
- Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi, 3G, USB 2.0
- AISHA voice recognition service
- GPS with A-GPS functionality
- Memory expandable via microSD card slot up to 32GB
- 1630mAh battery
The Micromax A84 Superfone Elite comes with AISHA voice recognition tool that we had reviewed in the A50 as well. AISHA helps users to update social networking sites, figure out phone status, operate the device, find locations, know horoscopes, make language translations, view recipes and inquire date, time and weather conditions.
AISHA may not be an award-winning feature but that's what voice recognition has on offer at present. The A80 provides the users with access to a plethora of apps such as Mibuddy, Mstore, TOI etc. This handset offers users a chance to avail of all the features of the Google Play store as well.
The Superfone A84 elite is available for Rs 9,999 at all leading retail outlets across India.
