Mom, kids commit suicide

CHENNAI  A mother along with her daughter and son allegedly committed suicide by hanging at their house on Monday.According to police, Velu (45), an auto driver from Ayyappan Nagar, Avadi, was involved in an argument with his wife Lakshmi (40) on Monday morning. The driver then went out for work. When he returned home for lunch around 3.30 pm, he found his daughter wife, Lilly (16) and son Nitheesh (11) hanging from the ceiling, police said. Police sources said Velu,  who was involved in a relationship with another woman and had a son with her, was not financially supporting Lakshmi and the kids. Further, the family was riddled with debt and this could have led to their suicides, police said.
