HYDERABAD: Two more Congress MLAs in the Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy camp appear to have done a turnaround Saturday. Dharmana Krishna Das (Narasannapet) and K Bharati (Tekkali) met speaker N Manohar at the Visakhapatnam airport and are understood to have told him that they would respect whatever decision he would take on their resignations.Jagan Mohan Reddy’s kitty of 29 MLAs is thinning. On Friday, Golla Babu Rao (Payakaraopet), T Balajraju (Polavaram) , K Ravi (Puthalapattu), C Adinarayana Reddy (Jammalamadugu) and K Srinivasulu (Railway Koduru) met the speaker and reportedly requested him not accept their resignations.Later the legislators declared their support to the Kiran Kumar Reddy government.Secunderabad MLA Jaya Sudha too made it clear Kiran Kumar is her leader.Adinarayana Reddy, speaking to the media on Saturday, said: “Jagan Mohan Reddy does not mix with us. Many leaders have advised him to change his attitude but he would not listen. He is under the impression that his name and his late father’s name would win him the election. He is confident of getting even dumb people elected but it is not true.” When the speaker landed in Visakhapatanam, Krishna Das and Bharati met him.Though they said their meeting was a courtesy call, it is believed that they wanted to be in his good books.According to sources, not many MLAs are left with Jagan. Except a few loyalists like Konda Surekha, Balineni Srinivasa Reddy, Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose and Kapu Ramachandra Reddy (all Congress) and B Shobha Nagireddy (PRP), almost of all others have left Jagan’s side. The Congress is now playing hard to get.PCC president Botcha Satyanarayana does not appear to be attaching much importance to the return of these MLAs. “I have been saying all along that all of them would come back,” he said. This apart, he added that the MLAs should prove their chastity. He wants them to visit district Congress offices and Gandhi Bhavan regularly and tell people that they are with the Congress.
