HYDERABAD: TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao is known for performing Yagams for the sake of Telangana and in this respect his bete noire Motkupalli Narasimhulu, TDP senior MLA, seems to have decided to follow in the footsteps of Rao.In the wake of Rao’s recent yagam, Narasimhulu declared that he too would peform a yagam seeking the almighty to ‘wipe out the TRS, which has been the main hurdle for the formation of a Telangana state.Having heard of Narasimhulu’s soundbites in the lobbies of the Assembly, TRS leaders rushed to the media point and advised Narasimhulu to perform the yagam at NTR Bhavan to prevent TDP from scuttling formation of a separate state.Congress MLA JC Diwakar Reddy said he would support Narasimhulu if the latter performed yagam to obliterate TRS.It’s All Bypoll Talk in the houseBudgetary issues took a back seat in the Assembly on Wednesday as byelections became the hot topic of discussion.The legislators were seen engaged in animated discussions on which party would gain advantage in the bypoll and which one would be relegated to the third spot.A senior Congress leader and former minister predicted that the TDP may win the Station Ghanpur seat in a photo-finish fight.He told TDP MLAs that they stood a chance of winning the Mahaboobnagar seat too if they put in enough efforts.He saw the fight in Kovur between YSRC and TDP.Silence in Cong on Bypoll ContestCongress leader Gutta Sukhender Reddy wished that the Telangana sentiment should win in the forthcoming byelections.Unlike in the earlier rounds of bypoll when Congress leaders advised the Congress high command not to contest the poll, this time they remained silent on this issue.However, Reddy declared that he would not campaign for the Congress candidates
