Move to ban freedom parade on August 15

KOCHI: Taking the anticipated move to ban the freedom parade of the People Federation of India(PFI) here on the Independence Day, the city commissioner communicated to the district administration to deny permission.City Commissioner Ajith Kumar told Express that he had already informed the District Collector P I Sheik Pareeth that the Freedom March was not permitted to be conducted in the city because it cannot be held in four places in the state.
