Washington: President-elect Barack Obama has spoken with the Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice over phone to get an update on the situation in Mumbai.
It is said that Obama received an intelligence briefing on the terror attacks in Mumbai in which 127 people were killed so far.
Obama is spending Thanksgiving Day in Chicago at his home town but is receiving regular situational updates from the State Department Operations Center and the National Counter Terrorism Center.
The President-elect, aides say, continues to monitor the situation closely and appreciates the cooperation and information sharing from the Bush administration.
