HYDERABAD: After a brief lull, the AntiCorruption Bureau on Thursda took the police department by storm after the sleuths unearthed disproportionate assets worth over Rs 5 crore belonging to one M Sarveshwar Reddy, an Officer on Special Duty, in Rangareddy district. Sources said the worth of his property could easily be over Rs 25 crore as most of it is located in Hyderabad and Cyberabad areas.
The ACB officials registered a case of disproportionate assets against Sarveshwar Reddy and conducted simultaneous searches at different places including his at Gachobowli and his native place Chikatonipally in Mahabubnagar district. He is a DSP rank officer.The assets include six houses, five in the city and one at his native place, 15 house plots in and around the city, about 26 acres of agricultural land at Veltor mandal in Mahabubnagar district and Maheswaram of Ranga Reddy district. The basic value of these immovable properties is `3.30 crore. The searches unearthed movable and immovable assets possessed by the OSD in the name of his family members and in benami names worth `5 crore.
