Pakistan's lie nailed again, LeT terrorist Usman Khan caught in J&K, aimed to kill many Indians
"I came to India 12 days ago. We walked all day in the forest. I am motivated by revenge. I want to take revenge for all Kashmiris who are killed almost everyday," Usman said.

New Delhi: Just like the arrest of 26/11 Mumbai attacker Ajmal Kasab, the lone terrorist captured alive during the November 2008 carnage, another young terrorist from Pakistan apprehended by security forces, this time in Jammu and Kashmir, has once again exposed the nefarious designs of our neighbour.

The arrest of Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorist Mohd Naved alias Usman Khan has put Pakistan in the dock once again even though it continues to deny that it is pursuing a policy of using terror groups to cause mayhem in India despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. Usman's initial interrogation revealed that he is from Pakistan and his aim was to inflict heavy casualties and kill as many Indians as possible.

Sources said Usman, a fidayeen (suicide attacker) is a resident of Gulam Mohamadabad in Faisalabad, Pakistan. He has one sister and two brothers, of which one is in hosiery business while the other is a college lecturer.

Twenty-year-old Usman is the first Pakistani terrorist to be captured alive after the 26/11 Mumbai attack convict Ajmal Kasab, who was hanged on November 21, 2012 for carrying out the dastardly massacre.

The probe has now been taken over by the National Investigating Agency and the team will reach Udhampur on Thursday morning.

Usman, along with his accomplice Momin, attacked a Border Security Force convoy killing two personnel and injuring eight others in Jammu and Kashmir's Udhampur on Wednesday morning. While Momin was killed in the gunbattle, Usman fled into the forests after taking three hostages. He was soon surrounded by a team of BSF and Army soldiers and a brief gunbattle followed. He was overpowered by his hostages and captured.

The interrogation of Usman has revealed that the target of his attacks was Amarnath Yatra. He speaks Urdu and Punjabi.

"I came to India 12 days ago. We walked for many days in the forest. I am motivated by revenge. I want to take revenge for all Kashmiris who are killed almost everyday," Usman replied when asked about his mission.

Intelligence sources said Usman had infiltrated into India along with at least four other LeT terrorists. After entering India, the group split into two. While three terrorists attacked Dinanagar in Gurdaspur district of Punjab, the other two including Usman were waiting to strike at another location.

Meanwhile, high alert has been sounded in Delhi and sources said a terrorist armed with RDX, IED and sophisticated weapons was suspected to be hiding in the national capital. According to the sources, airports, central government offices and all sensitive installations have been put on high alert. The warning comes just a few days ahead of Independence Day on August 15.
