HUBLI: Water Resource Minister Basavaraj Bommai said on Thursday that a Coordination Committee, consisting of representatives of Maharashtra, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh governments, will be constituted to check possible flood threat from rivers flowing from upper riparian states.Bommai said that he had held the first round of dialogues in this regard with Maharashtra Water Resources Minister Ramaraje Nimbalkar and the next round of talks will be held at Belgaum in the next week with Water Resource Minister of Andhra Pradesh.On the possible composition of the coordination committee, he stated that the executive engineers of Koina, Aalamatti and Srisailam Dams and Deputy Commissioners of Kolhapur, Belgaum and Karnoor districts in respective states would be the members.
