New Delhi: Sinimol Paulose ran to glory in the women's 1,500 metres to earn for India their only gold in the Asian Indoor Athletics Championship in Pattaya, Thailand.
Paulose timed 4:18.29s in the event on the last day of the championship which concluded at the Thai beach resort on Monday night.
The Tata Athletic Academy cadet had earlier won the silver medal in the 800m and was also part of the bronze medal-winning 4x400 relay team.
India ended the three-day championship with a haul of one gold, three silver and four bronze medals.
Paulose's superb showing made up for the loss of Anju Bobby George's gold in Long jump.
