PUDUCHERRY: Puducherry: Home Minister P Chidambaram reached Puducherry on Monday evening to take stock of the situation following the strike of Cyclone Thane, which left a devastating trail in the region.He will stay overnight and visit the Cyclone Thane-affected areas in Puducherry and Cuddalore on Tuesday morning and then leave for Chennai in the afternoon from Cuddalore.Lieutenant governor Iqbal Singh, chief minister N Rangasamy, speaker V Sabapathy, ministers, chief Secretary M Sathiyavathy and top officials met the Home Minister at the JIPMER Guest House.Earlier, he was received by Congress functionaries when he entered the border.
