HYDERABAD: The students who attended the IIT-Joint Entrance Examination and subject experts opined that the students who have done well in physics in the second paper of the IIT-JEE-2012 examination will have better prospects of securing a seat in the prestigious educational institutions in the country.Speaking to Express, M Saiakshay Kumar, a student who took the examination at the AV College here, said physics questions given in the second paper were tricky compared to those in other papers in the two-session examination.“As I am good at physics, I had no difficulty answering them,” Kumar said.IIT physics faculty from Sri Chitanaya group of institutions, Sama Vijayakumar Reddy said the physics paper was given for 66 marks  which would become crucial to scoring good ranks. The paper was not hard but tricky, he said.K Lalithkumar, a subject expert and founder of IIT-JEE Forum, a website, opined there were no mistakes or ambiguity in the questions this time, in a welcome departure from the question paper pattern in previous years which usually landed students in a confusion.IIT-Delhi, which conducted the IIT-JEE 2012, has given the papers for 408 marks - first paper 210 and second paper 198 marks.The examination is the gateway to fill nearly 10,000 engineering seats in 15 IITs, Institute of Technology, Bhanaras Hindu University and ISM Dhanbad. About 50,000 students took the examination at eight centres in Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Tirupati, Warangal, Kurnool, Guntur and Nellore.
