Police trace dead leopard in city

A leopard was found dead in a village of Uttarakhand's Bageshwar district, forest department sources said, on Friday, in Dehradun.

The carcass of a six-year-old leopard was sighted on Thursday by children in Kaliyabagad Falyanti village of the district when they were going to school.

They told their teachers about it and the matter was reported to forest authorities.

Injury marks on the body of the leopard suggest it died in a fight with another wild animal, the forest department, sources said.
