Residents in various parts of Chennai have experienced a planned power outage on Friday, July 5, as maintenance work is underway at several power stations across the city. The Electricity Board has scheduled this interruption to facilitate essential monthly maintenance, affecting several key areas in Chennai.
Accordingly, power supply will be temporarily cut off from 9 AM to 2 PM in the following areas:
Ambattur: Koladi, Devi Nagar, KBS Nagar, Aravin Nagar, TDS Nagar, Iswaran Nagar, Natesan Nagar, Abirami Nagar, Anbu Nagar Area, Chellayamman Nagar, Millennium Town Phase 1, 2, and 3, School Street, Gambar Nagar
Guindy: Adambakkam, Saraswati Nagar Area, Kalki Nagar, Vinayakapuram, A.G.S. Colony, 5th Street, 6th Street, 7th Street, Escalums Flats, DRA Flats, Salma Flats, Balaji Nagar 23rd Street to 37th Street, Alandur, Myatt, T,D, Quarters, Mount Hospital, North Silver Street, Defense Colony, Nanganallur, Voltas Colony, 100 feet road part one, Civil Aviation colony, Ayyappa Nagar, Kannica Colony part one, Lakshmi Nagar, SBI Colony 3rd Stage, Ram Nagar, Kuberan Nagar, 12th Street, Kuberan Nagar 10th Street, Ram Nagar South 17th Street

The maintenance work is expected to be completed by 2 PM, following which normal power supply will be restored across these areas, as informed by the power distribution corporation.
Residents are advised to make necessary arrangements considering the scheduled power cut during the specified hours.
