HYDERABAD: Mahindra First Choice Wheels, a company for pre-owned cars inaugurated its first company-owned store in Hyderabad on Wednesday. This is the company’s second store in South India after Chennai. Mahindra First Choice also plans to open one outlet in each of the key towns in the state, according to Rajeev Dubey, president and member of the group executive board, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.Pre-owned car business is picking up fast and the ration of pre-owned cars to that of new cars in Andhra Pradesh is 1:1. In Hyderabad alone, about 4000- 4500 pre-owned cars are sold per month, Dubey said after inaugurating the store. According to company officials, Mahindra plans to sell over 1000 cars in Hyderabad by the end of this fiscal, while it plans to sell 40000 cars nationally. Hyderabad is the sixth largest market in India for cars, said Dubey adding that their next stores in the state are likely to come up in Nellore, Vijayawada and Rajahmundry.
