Rail roko begins: SCR cancels 48 trains

HYDERABAD: In view of the call for a three-day rail roko by the Telangana Joint Action Committee from Saturday, the South Central Railway has cancelled 48 trains, partially cancelled 38 and diverted 68. It has also cancelled 76 passenger trains and partially cancelled 16.Nineteen trains have been rescheduled.The MMTS services between Secunderabad and Lingampalli and between Hyderabad and Lingampalli will run as per schedule, while the Falaknuma-Secunderabad and Hyderabad-Secunderabad services will be cancelled. All DHMU trains have also been cancelled.Details of the revised schedules and cancellations are available at www.scr.indianrailways.gov.in Meanwhile, the following help line numbers have been set up for convenience of rail users and the public seeking information on running of trains at stations. These numbers will be operative from 10 p.m on October 14 to 8 a.m on October 18.
