In its searches operations, the Investigation wing of Rajasthan Income Tax Department found undisclosed income to the tune of Rs 603.61 crore as admitted by the assesses and total assets of Rs 44.27 crore were seized in 2013-14.
The performance of the Investigation wing of the I-T Department, Rajasthan improved substantially during the just concluded FY 2013-14, Rajasthan I-T Department Additional Director Sanjiv Singh said on Thursday. During this period in the search ~~amp;amp; seizure operations conducted by the Department undisclosed income to the tune of Rs 603.61 crore was admitted by the assessees and total assets of the value of Rs 44.27 crore were seized. As compared to this in 2012-13 the admitted undisclosed income was Rs 355.04 crore and the total assets seized were of the value of Rs 24.28 crore.
In fact figures of admitted undisclosed income and seizure of assets are highest ever in Rajasthan till now, he said. This year record cash seizure of Rs 31.30 crore was made which is far more than the last year's figure of Rs 12.67 crore, he added. This year in one case of Nathdwara undisclosed income of Rs 130 crore was admitted and cash seizure of Rs 11 crore was made which were also the highest ever figures in a single case in Rajasthan.
In another case of Jaipur, undisclosed income of Rs 105 crore was admitted and cash of Rs 6.13 crore was seized. In three other group cases of Jaipur undisclosed income of Rs 91 crore, Rs 75 crore ~~amp;amp; Rs 52 crore were admitted. In two cases of Kota and Ajmer undisclosed income of Rs 36 crore and Rs 31 crore were admitted.
