VIJAYAWADA: Devotees heaved a sigh of relief with the weather turning pleasant atop Indrakeeldri on Tuesday, the sixth day of Navaratri celebrations, after they dared scorching heat to have a darshan of the presiding deity on auspicious Mulanakshatram on Monday.People from all walks of life thronged the temple and had a hassle-free darshan of the presiding deity in Durga Devi alankaram with the less crowd post Mulanakshatram rush and the temperature going down due to advent of cool breeze.Devotees had a hard time to have a darshan with the scorching heat on Monday.Children and elders were the worst victim of the high humidity and lack of amenities at the temple including drinking water. With devotees forced to walk more than 2 kms including a kilometre on ghat road to reach the temple, a majority of them were seen exhausted and asking for water to the volunteers along the queue line. And the temple administration was unable to arrange water packets for the tired devotees
