Self-appointed godwoman Radhe Maa booked in dowry harassment case, absconding

Mumbai: It's not a good time to be a godman or a godwoman. After Asaram, Nithyananda, Nirmal Baba and their ilk, self-appointed godwoman Radhe Maa now is in trouble. She faces a criminal case of assault and harassment.

An FIR filed by a 32-year-old woman in the Kandivali police station in Mumbai says that Radhey Maa instigated her in-laws to harass her for dowry.

The complaint states that the godwoman assaulted the woman on many occasions and instigated her family to harass her. The victim said that she was asked to do menial jobs.

She also alleged that Radhe Maa would dance to latest Hindi film songs and indulged in indecent acts with men and women. The godwoman is now absconding.
