Shab-e-Qadr Significance

An Islamic observance, the Qadr night can fall on any of the odd-numbered nights of the last ashra during Ramadan. While most people believe it is likely to fall on the 27th night, some also believe that it falls on the 23rd night.

According to Islamic tradition, Shab-e-Qadr is very auspicious, as it is believed that it was the night when the Holy Quran was first down from heaven to earth. Besides that, it was also the night when the first verses of the Quran were revealed to the Islamic prophet Muhammad, the founder of Islam.

During these nights, Muslims stay awake the entire night and pray, reciting the Holy Quran and seeking blessings and forgiveness.
