A Kolkata court has granted five-day transit remand to Mumbai Police for taking Sanjeev Khanna, an accused in the Sheena Bora murder case.
The plot to kill Sheena's brother Mikhail Bora was deduced by police while they were questioning Sanjeev Khanna, Indrani Mukherjea's ex-husband.
Khanna has so far not confessed to killing Sheena. According to sources, Khanna was in touch with Indrani despite their divorce.
He has told police that he wanted Indrani and his daughter Vidhi back in his life. He has claimed that he had always known Sheena as Indrani's sister, not her daughter.
Khanna was arrested on Wednesday by police in Kolkata.
