New Delhi: The Hindi film industry is constantly taking up stories that are set in the background of small cities. The new directors of the Yashraj camp are all technically sound and they are willing to bring forth the stories related to otherwise simple characters. Directed by Maneesh Sharma, 'Shuddh Desi Romance' is set in Jaipur where a jovial city guide Raghu (Sushant Singh Rajput) is confused between two girls Gayatri (Parineeti) and Tara (Vaani) in his life.
Sushant Singh Rajput is fresh out of the success of 'Kai Po Che' while Parineeti is said to be the next big thing in Bollywood, so the film is likely to get a good opening but afterwards it will sustain only due to the quality of its content.
Maneesh Sharma has directed 'Band Baaja Baaraat' and 'Ladies vs Ricky Bahl' in the past, and both those films were based on the problems of youth, so 'Shuddh Desi Romance' is also supposed to focus on the love related confusions of the younger generation.
