HYDERABAD: A student who tried to go to US for higher studies by submitting fake documents was nabbed by Task Force sleuths on Monday. Another person who assisted the aspiring diploma holder to get the documents was also arrested and fake documents seized.According to Task Force officials, the accused M Vara Prasad alias Bobby is a native of Nallajarla mandal in West Godavari. He completed his diploma in Pharmacy from the Hindu College of Pharmacy in Guntur and wanted to go to US for studying computer science. “Vara Prasad tried to obtain a student visa by presenting a D Pharmacy certificate at the US Consulate but authorities rejected the same,” Task Force additional deputy commissioner of police K Raghuram Reddy said. Vara Prasad then decided to submit a fake BSc certificate and approached M Rajanikanth Reddy, who is working at Jawaharlal Nehru Youth Centre at Kukatpally. “Rajanikanth prepared a fake marks memo and also a BSc provisional certificate of Osmania University in the name of Vara Prasad,” he said.Vara Prasad later consulted Mukund of M/s Edelweiss Overseas Consultancy at Ameerpet and secured I-20 forms of International Technological University, San Jose, California and Oklahoma City University for securing admission into their MS courses. He also obtained a fake CA report and a property evaluation report from R Narasimha Rao. Vara Prasad and Rajanikanth were nabbed near the consulate while moving suspiciously with fake documents.
